My Goals and Teaching Philosophy

I believe that teaching should be more of a process of leading than of transmitting information. I envision my role as teacher to be that of a facilitator, to create an environment conducive to experimentation and provide resources for student discovery of meaning.

My goal in teaching future educators is to encourage them to keep asking questions, to avoid blind acceptance of any method or techniques, and to search for ways to connect their own knowledge with that of their students.
