What's the Story with History?

"A World United" by Paul Ygartua
"A World United" by Paul Ygartua

Welcome to my brief exploration of the world of history. I've attempted to make this site as visually appealing as possible given the programming constraints, but even I can hardly stomach it. For that, I apologize. Had I more time and ambition, I would have undertaken a short study of web-page editing as a means of liberating myself from the tyranny of the Keep Toolkit and producing something mildly attractive. I haven't had much of either as of late, however, so here we are.

You'll note the changes in text colors throughout the website. In the course of research, I have consulted some scholarly works and held discussions with two historians on campus, Dr. James Marten, chair of the History Department, and Professor Hannington Ochwada, a docotoral candidate teaching a survey of African history and a course on gender and history in the African context. The words and ideas of Dr. Marten are represented in green, Professor Ochwada's in blue. My own ideas are represented in red, the color most offensive to the eye, which seems fitting given my lowly stature compared to the intellectual giants I have consulted for this project. Do enjoy, and feel free to direct any questions to me via email.
