PARTS OF THE PROJECT Insert text that lists the essential elements of your project. This is an excellent place to put links in the text if you are going to have secondary pages that expand on these elements or provide downloadable materials. To make a link in the text, highlight the words that will be clicked on, click on the globe icon in the menu above and type the url for the link into the box provided. You can choose to have the new page open in the same window or a new window by using the pull-down menu under the box for the url. Once you have created a link, you must click on the save button and reopen the editing box before you can create another link in the text. An alternative is to make a list of links at the bottom of this (or any) box. Sometimes this is the preferred option because the reader will not be interrupted so many times. These links can be made by using the "Edit Links/Upload Files" option at the bottom of the box. There is the option to annotate the links there, as well.

PEOPLE INVOLVED Use this space for (at least) the following two purposes: 1. To acknowledge the work of the other people in your group who help make your project possible. If they have Web sites of their own, you can create links using their names (as described above and in the quick-start guide). 2. To explain about the roles played by people working with you on the project so that if someone were to try to replicate your program they would have a sense of what staff was required.

IMPACT Use this space to discuss the impact of the project with respect to: 1. how many students or faculty (etc) have been reached via your program. 2. Any data you have demonstrating effectiveness or other types of assessment

Insert picture of HHMI Prof here with students or engaged in a teaching activity. Avoid standard head shots. Pre-size the picture using a program like Photoshop to approximately 150-300 pixels wide. Insert the picture by clicking on "Add/Edit image" and select the "text to the right of image" option. Label the photo with the Prof's name and anyone else identifiable in the picture using the Image Caption text box. Insert text here that consists of quotes from the HHMI Prof about his or her philosophy towards science teaching, learning or the essence of the project. Please format the quotes in both bold and italics.

MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT Insert a few sentences about what motivated you to design and undertake this particular project.
REFLECTIONS ON THE PROCESS AND PRODUCT Insert a discussion of your successes and challenges over the first two years of the project. Upon reflection, what will you definitely continue with and what are some changes you plan on making? If you overcame any challenges, how did you do it? Add a sentence or two about what you are hoping and planning for the next year or two of the project. This section is very important for other educators to get a sense of how the process has gone for you and learn from your experiences and insights.

EVIDENCE BOX - PHOTOS OR QUOTES? Please use this box (and create more if appropriate) to add any photos of or quotes from participants (students, faculty, employees) that serve as evidence for the successes of your project. Also, add anything that would add interest and individualization to the page. Good examples of things to add would be testimonials from participants, highlights of student work, anecdotes, or results of formal assessment. Remember to resize any images before loading them into the program so that they will not be distorted.

ANYTHING ELSE? If there is material that you wish to share on your homepage Snapshot (vs. on secondary pages) that is not covered in the sections of the template, please feel free to add more boxes. Remember: To create another box, just click on the "Add Box" button of any box on the screen. A new box will appear above the box you clicked on. You can then use the arrows in the right-hand corner of the box to move it to the desired location. Please use verdana font, default size 2, all capital letters, bold, and blue for your headings in each box. Please use verdana font, default size 2, regular capitalization of letters, and black font for the main text of the box. Please feel free to bold, italicize, or underline for emphasis wherever appropriate. Remember, just because it says Verdana above, does not mean that the text is actually Verdana.
