Reflection on Assignment 4: Report

1. From the report assignment, I have learned that teamwork and communication is very important. Cooperative teamwork and effective communication can improve efficiency and productivity significantly. Also, careful planning and organization are especially important when in teamwork because work is delegated and collected.

2. I contributed to the collaborative process by providing suggestions during the planning stage of this report. Also, I am responsible for writing the synopsis and the one of the arguments for the report. After everyone has contributed their part, I also did some proofreading and formatting the style of the report. In addition, I provided feedback to questions and discussions within the group.

3. The weakest part of the collaboration is communication using the message board at the UWone website. Everyone has to be proactive and check the message board frequently for the message postings in order to get the most updated information. In my opinion, the reply function should display the reply to the posting in the main threaded view as opposed to just the corresponding message. It is difficult to track and follow through the messages with replies when you have to click each link to view every message.

4. The greatest strength of the collaboration is the delegation of work because one person could not possibly get this report done in such a short time. Furthermore, more ideas can be collected working as a group, which will enhance the quality of the report.

5. From this course, I will take forward the process of writing effective business messages to new experiences. I think that this is an essential skill since technology is advancing, and there are more chances I will be working with many different people so effective communication is important to work efficiently and productively.
