Test

How did you feel after test 1?

Julie

I felt that the test was very difficult and I was upset with the outcome and my score. I feel this way because I studied very had and did all the readings and all the homework and still did not do well. I don't really understand how you can study any more for a test that is case based.

Susie

i thought the test was intersting it was unlike any test i have ever taken. I thought it was hard and some of the words where kinda difficult to understand, i feel that there should be a glossary provided for us who do not no bio terms.

Ryan

I appreciated the novelty of the format, but was disappointed that I knew so little about it before taking the test. This made it very difficult to prepare. Additionally, I would have preferred to have the whole period to work by myself or with a group (either one) rather than splitting midway to work with my group. Doing group analysis was helpful certainly, but it broke my concentration and we did not have enough time to discuss every question, so I was left with two periods of time to do the test, neither of which was long enough.

Amanda

I thought the test was interesting, but not something for which I could have prepared myself. We are not being tested on content, but the process which we use to come to a conclusion.

Kristin

I thought the test was different. It wasn't anything that I was used to, and the results were surpising. All in all, our team performance wasn't very good, which I feel we should definitely try to improve for the next test. Although the format was given to us, I don't think we really knew what to expect. Now that we know the format and processes necessary to succeed, we should improve as a team to try and at least be in the top 3 for our scores.

Christina

I thought test one was a very new experience for me. I wasn't used to that type of style of a test. I had never taken a test with a group. I'm not sure I like the way the test are given. I didn't feel we had enoough time to take the test. The readings were way too long. Also, I didn't think it was very fair becasue some of the questions were worded weird so it was confusing. Another thing, is that I think our team needs to work together a little better.

Did you feel differently after test 2?

Julie

After taking the test I felt that it was alot more fair. But I was still unhappy with my grade. I feel that the way I did on the test did not reflect the effort that I put into the course and what I learned.

Kristin

After taking test 2, I felt as if it was more fair than the last test. The questions were less wordy and the wording was less complicated. I was unhappy with my grade, however. I felt that I studied more appropriately for what the test would cover, but realized this was not the case when I got my scores back.

Susie

after taking test two i was still confussed on how the whole process of the test worked. i feel that it was still difficult but alittle better then the frist test, though i didnt improve by much i did alittle

Christina

I thought test two was a little easier, not by much since I didn't do that much better. I did improve though from my last score. I think the length was much more reasonable then the first test.

Amanda

Initially, I thought the test was easier, however, my score did not necessarily reflect this. I still don't like the format of the test, but the length of this one was muc more reasonable than the first. For the rest of the semester, my goal is to figure out what I've been learning and put it all together to bring up my grade and do well in the class.
