Group Five - Team MeCAT


Energy-appropriate 2 passenger "parking efficient"all-season community vehicle

There is a need for a compact 2-passenger vehicle powered by alternative energy that will be marketable for intra-campus and intra-community travel. The vehicle must address the problems of pollution, oil dependency, oil consumption, parking, and money spent on gas. It must be high-quality, safe, aesthetically appealing, weatherproof and capable of being used all year.

This senior design group will designing, manufactoring, and building an alterative to campus transportation due to the need that has been found.


Team Operating Procedures

TEAM 5 OPERATING PROCEDURES

Agenda: Facilitator is responsible for bringing agenda sheets to meeting. Agenda is bought up by whole team.

Attendance: If a member misses too many meetings, the problem will be addressed by rest of group. Attendance is expected unless something else of importance comes up. Latecomers will have to get caught up on their own time. The meeting will not be held up to fill in a latecomer. 5 Members must be present for a meeting to take place.

Meetings: Regular meetings will be held every Monday at 5PM. The location will be discussed at the previous meeting. Extra meetings will be scheduled as needed. The time and location will be agreed on by the team, and managed by the facilitator.

Minutes: The minutes of the meeting will be the responsibility of the team recorder. The recorder will be in charge of filling in latecomers, and taking down the important points of the meeting for later reference.

Leader: Everyone will be treated as an equal member of the group. No single leader shall be assigned. The member in charge of individual tasks will be considered the temporary leader for the time of their specialized contribution. Any member who is speaking and has the floor will be treated as a leader and respected while he is speaking.

Confidentiality: Only vague details may be discussed outside of the team. Specific and important ideas are to only be disclosed to other members.

Audits: Anyone is allowed to bring up criticisms about the operating procedures at designated times. The first and last 5 minutes of the meeting will be set aside specifically for criticisms.

Facilitator: The facilitator will take on the role by appointing himself and getting the permission from the rest of the group. The facilitator is responsible for setting up meetings, and keeping the agenda well organized.
